Using this site means accepting what follows. It is written to be read rather than to be impenetrable, and it is shorter than most.
What you may do with the writing
Quote it. Take up to a couple of hundred words with attribution to The Noorain Nexus and a link back to the article you took it from, for commentary, criticism, teaching or reporting. No permission is needed for that and none needs asking for.
What is not allowed is republishing whole articles, whether on a website, in a newsletter, or as a translation, and presenting the work as somebody else's. If you want to run a piece in full somewhere, ask — the answer is often yes.
Machine reading and training
Using this material to train, fine-tune or otherwise build a machine learning model requires permission in writing. Retrieving a page to answer someone's question, and citing it, does not.
That distinction is stated in robots.txt rather than only here, because a sentence in English has no effect on a crawler. Crawlers that gather pages into training corpora are refused there; search and retrieval crawlers that fetch a page to answer a question and cite the source are admitted. Two honest caveats: crawler names change often enough that the list is worth re-checking rather than trusting, and robots.txt is a convention — anything that ignores it is unaffected by either the file or this paragraph.
Acceptable use
Automated access is fine within reason: read the sitemap, fetch pages at a sane rate, identify yourself in a user agent. What is not fine is scraping the site wholesale, hammering it at a rate that degrades it for readers, ignoring robots.txt, circumventing any access control, or probing it for weaknesses without asking first. Security findings are welcome through the contact page and will not be met with hostility.
Comments and messages
Comments are moderated. Anything defamatory, harassing, discriminatory, off-topic or promotional will be removed, and repeat offenders blocked. Leaving a comment grants permission to display it here; you keep ownership of what you wrote.
Corrections and tips are welcome. Sending one does not create a duty of confidence unless one is agreed, and confidence, once agreed, is kept.
Accuracy, and what this site is not
Everything here is published in good faith and checked against primary sources, but it is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. No promise is made that the site will be available, uninterrupted, error-free or current.
Nothing here is professional advice — not legal, not financial, not investment, not engineering advice for your particular system. Decisions you make are your own. To the extent the law allows, no liability is accepted for loss arising from acting on what is published here, or from the site being unavailable.

Articles link to and quote other sources. Those remain the property of their owners and are used for commentary and criticism. If you believe something here infringes your rights, say so through the contact page with enough detail to identify it and it will be dealt with promptly.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Bengaluru have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from use of this site.
Changes
These terms may be updated. When they are, the date at the foot of the page moves, and continuing to use the site means accepting the version published at the time. Substantive changes are described rather than made silently, which is the same standard the privacy policy and the articles are held to.
